Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Area Credit Manager to lead our retail credit team in Thiruvananthapuram. The ideal candidate will have 6-9 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a strong background in credit underwriting and portfolio management.

Roles and Responsibility
Manage a team of Branch credit managers and Credit Executives to achieve business objectives.
Conduct personal discussions with customers to establish creditworthiness and make informed decisions.
Ensure pre and post sanction credit risk compliance to maintain high standards.
Control delinquencies through portfolio review, particularly monitoring non-starters.
Coordinate with sales teams to achieve targets and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Support and train the team of Credit Managers/officers to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Job
Graduate in any discipline with a strong academic record.
Minimum 6 years of experience in credit underwriting and portfolio management.
Possess strong knowledge of credit principles, practices, and regulations.
Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work closely with regional Credit Managers and internal teams like ICQ, Operational, and Sales.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to control portfolio performance and manage risks.
