About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI Data Architect / Engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake and hands-on experience designing and delivering Generative AI–powered data solutions. In this individual contributor role, you will architect, build, and optimize data platforms and AI pipelines that enable intelligent, scalable analytics and application experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including data engineering, product, AI/ML engineering, and business stakeholders—to design modern data architectures, implement vector-enabled data systems, and operationalize AI models into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop end-to-end data solutions on Snowflake with business outcomes, including data modeling, performance optimization, governance, and security best practices.
• Design and implement Generative AI systems leveraging LLMs, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion frameworks, and orchestration workflows using modern tools (e.g., DBT, Airflow, n8n, or equivalent).
• Implement Snowflake features such as Snowpark, UDFs, Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, and data sharing to support AI workloads.
• Develop and maintain vector embeddings, semantic search systems, and knowledge bases integrated with Snowflake or companion vector stores.
• Partner with AI/ML engineers on model selection, evaluation, fine-tuning, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy, governance, and responsible AI standards.
• Own solution architecture documentation, data flow diagrams, and technical design specifications.
• Drive performance tuning, cost optimization, and reliability improvements across the data and AI stack.
• Evaluate emerging AI, data, and cloud technologies and make recommendations for adoption.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, workload optimization, and scalable architecture design.
• Experience building Generative AI applications or data infrastructures using LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, etc.).
• Practical experience with vector databases (e.g., Snowflake Cortex, FAISS).
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms—AWS, GCP, or Azure—including compute, storage, serverless, IAM, and networking basics.
• Understanding of RAG pipelines, embeddings, prompt engineering, and model deployment patterns.
• Familiarity with data governance, cataloging, lineage, and metadata management tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience with Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark ML, or platform integrations for AI workloads.
• Background in MLOps (CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, feature stores).
• Prior experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications or customer-facing products.
• Knowledge of streaming data architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
• Certifications in Snowflake, AWS/GCP/Azure, or AI/ML.
