Job Description

As a Senior Associate Data Governance Specialist at NTT DATA, you will be a developing subject matter expert responsible for providing support in designing and developing the company's data infrastructure. Your role will involve introducing new ideas and enhancing existing solutions within established frameworks and governance to shape the organization's data governance practices effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze data requirements, develop data models, and ensure the integrity and security of the data infrastructure in collaboration with stakeholders. - Define how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different entities and IT systems, as well as applications using or processing the data. - Optimize data storage and retrieval, enhance data quality and governance, and guide the organization in data-driven decision-making. - Translate business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams, collaborating with teams and stakeholders to design appropriate data models. - Implement data integration and flow processes for efficient data movement across systems and platforms. - Define data architecture framework, including security, metadata, and master data, based on received instructions. - Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security. - Prepare and facilitate data governance communities, workshops, and meetings. - Create and implement data management processes and procedures. - Define technical standards and guidelines for data use, security, access, and governance. Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of data governance, data integration, data quality, and data management best practices. - Change management skills to demonstrate the value of data governance and create organizational buy-in. - Effective collaboration and communication abilities. - Relationship-building skills to manage business partners and navigate at all organizational levels. - Understanding of IT domains, information security, and data regulations. - Problem-solving and analytical capabilities for data integrity and security. - Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and data modeling techniques. - Competency in SQL, database development, and performance optimization. - Experience with data visualization tools. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. - Certifications in data management preferred (e.g., DAMA Certified Data Management Professional). Required Experience: - Moderate experience as a Data Governance Specialist or in a similar role. - Foundational experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies and frameworks. - Experience in training, workshops, and data management tools. - Experience in developing data governance frameworks and standards is desirable.
