Job Description

Position Overview

Accounts Payable Executive

Key Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and timely.
Verify invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documents.
Ensure proper coding of invoices to general ledger accounts.
Handle vendor queries and resolve discrepancies related to payments and invoices.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain vendor statements.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Maintain proper documentation and records as per company policy and audit requirements.
Coordinate with procurement, treasury, and other departments for smooth workflow.
Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and adherence to payment terms.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary information.

Key Requirements

Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar accounting function.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and payable cycle.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks, etc.).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in a shared service environment or MNC.
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory compliances.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
