Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Promotes and enforces the implementation of all QHSSE requirements and facilitates implementation and improvement of Barrier Management System (BMS) onboard the rig. Provides guidance and expertise to all personnel on Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) standards and assists with related goals and programs. Roles & Responsibilities Ensures appropriate dissemination of HSE policies, procedures, and guidance documentation. Maintains a strong presence at the worksite, especially in high-risk, high-activity areas (i.e., deck, drill floor). Approximately 75% of the working day should be spent at the worksite. Promotes Safety Programs (i.e. ADES 8 keys to incident-free) on the rig, ensuring each employee is aware of their standards and how to apply them. Promotes ADES Awards (i.e. TOFS award) to embed the concept into the rig culture. Assists in the management of the Stop, Hazard, Initiate, Engage, Learn and Demonstrate (SHIELD) program and encourage active participation by undertaking safety performance conversations by all persons on board. Ensures Stop Work Authority (SWA) obligation is understood by all persons on board and exercised promptly. This is integral to the Company’s safety culture. The RSO is expected to lead by example. Assists the OIM/STP/PIC by monitoring/verifying compliance with control of work systems such as JSA, SOP’s, PTW, Isolation, Confined Space, Rescue Planning etc. Complies with, monitor, and effectively contribute to the continuous improvement of BMS, HSE related policies and procedures, and relevant authority regulatory requirements. Identifies and addresses in collaboration with the site operations management by identifying and addressing HSE or noncompliance concerns. Assists with internal/external audit completion, close-out, and tracking. Consults with personnel including safety leaders and department heads on all matters concerning safety. Engages with crews during safety meetings and supervisors’ meetings; presents topics/findings. Monitors the selection of suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) including performing checks on sizing and suitability. Maintains awareness of Substances Hazardous to Health and the correct storage, use, handling, and PPE requirements. Carries out onboard training and/or books crew training to ensure full compliance with the crew training matrix. Assist third-party trainers as necessary. Assists, monitors, and verifies compliance with the short-service employee (SSE) process to ensure effective implementation and that on-the-job training is being provided to develop the SSEs. Participate and assist the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM)/STP/PIC with rig-based incident reporting and investigations to determine root cause(s). Ensure investigation findings are shared between all crews on board. Assist with and deliver rig orientation and induction (as requested). Liaise with customer representatives and regulatory bodies as necessary. Perform emergency duties as per the rig station bill. Moderates the rig self-verification process. Job Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree Preferably a minimum of 3 years in an RSO role. Previous experience within the drilling industry in an HSE role/position. Skills/Competencies Required Completion of all required ADES mandatory training requirements. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Carryout all planned preventive maintenance activities, repairing and servicing all electrical equipment and systems essential to drilling operations considering the safety of personnel, the environment, and equipment to maximize drilling operation efficiency. Roles & Responsibilities Troubleshooting and Repairs: Collaborates with senior electrician in identifying and resolving electrical issues by conducting tests, inspections, and troubleshooting procedures. Promptly reports any equipment damage or faults to rig supervisors. Maintain rig equipment & repair failures and malfunctions in electrical equipment and systems, utilizing diagnostic tools, equipment manuals, and technical documentation to fix complex mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions to restore functionality and minimize downtime. Equipment Maintenance & Operations Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all rig power generation and distribution equipment such as generators, engine controls units, SCR’s, VSD’s, UPS’s, transformers, etc. Perform the maintenance, repair, and servicing of electrical equipment on the rig as HVAC systems, communication systems, consoles & control panels, DC drilling motors & auxiliaries, thruster motors, ballast pumps, etc. to ensure optimal performance of the rig. Assist in performing and interpreting power calculations, power factor, insulation tests, and positive relay tests as required. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment as per the planned maintenance schedule, and/or as directed by Senior Electrician. Install new equipment as per regulatory and company standards including paying attention to MOC requirements. Utilize the Maintenance System for tracking, monitoring, and managing the maintenance and performance of equipment within the rig. Materials & Equipment Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts, consumables, and supplies to fulfil maintenance requirements and facilitate a safe and efficient operation. Rig Move Performs related duties to prepare the rig for towing, ensure all electrical equipment is correctly secured maintaining the integrity and reliability of the mechanical systems and equipment throughout prior, during and after the rig move. Housekeeping Ensures that the workshop is clean and organized, free of hazards prior to & upon completion of the work tasks, or repairs. Ensure Switch rooms, VFD or SCR rooms have no flammable materials contained within them and that these areas are not used as storage areas. Insulating mats will be maintained and kept free of grease and dirt. Wherever possible these areas should be restricted to technical personnel only. Electric shock recovery kits will be maintained and accessible. Disposes debris as per the company’s hazardous material segregations policy and as per waste management policy taking into consideration the environmental & safety aspects. Client Management Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, third party personnel and Client Representatives. Reporting & Documentation Record and report all mechanical maintenance activities, equipment inspections, repairs, and spare parts inventory in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Comply with the permit to work and isolation systems. People Management Develop and train electricians and provide clear instructions regarding their duties, responsibilities, and any necessary safety precautions prior to commencing work. Job Requirements Education & Experience: Formal training as an electrician in the form of a multi-year apprenticeship / training program is required. Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Supervise and control the entire drilling operations activities during the day shift, ensuring the successful completion of the well and drilling activities while liaising closely with OIM considering the safety of personnel, the environment, and equipment to maximize drilling operation efficiency. Roles & Responsibilities Drilling Operations: Ensures the safety of personnel, equipment, and the efficiency of operations on the drill floor and other drilling operation associated areas. Plans and schedules all drilling and associated activity. Directs personnel towards achieving optimum job performance according to the client’s requirements. Ensures any deviation from client well plan (Game Plan) is approved by OIM, and that Client representative has documented in written form. Consult with the OIM/Night Tool pusher and Client’s Representative regarding the progress of the Drilling program and associated operations, keeping the driller informed about the ongoing drilling program objectives and communicating any changes in plans. Relieve the Driller at the Driller’s console as operational requirement demands. Ensures by pre-planning that all necessary equipment is ready for the next phase of the Drilling / Workover program. Assists & supervises drilling crew at the worksite at all relevant times, ensuring circulating time is sufficient and the well is stable on trips, when the BHA is being worked and whenever there is a hole problem. Operates the drilling unit with strict adherence to company Drilling & Well Control manuals, by reviewing and approving all drilling related work permits. Well Control Ensure that well control requirements are in place according to operational requirements - assist in supervising well killing operations in any well control situation. Plans & monitors comprehensive well control parameters to proactively identify any signs of well control issues for early detection and swift response. Maintains and regularly tests well control equipment, in accordance with Company’s and Client’s requirement ensuring its readiness and effectiveness in critical situations. Perform all well control calculations (i.e., mud weight increase, initial and final circulating pressures, number of strokes, etc.). Management Of Major Emergencies To be part of the installation’s Emergency Response Team as detailed in the Emergency Plan and in Company Procedures. Ensure that all personnel are instructed in the procedures to be adopted in the case of an emergency. Ensure that Well Control and general safety drills are held and recorded in accordance with Company requirements. Materials Equipment Assist the OIM/Night Toolpusher in ensuring the installation has sufficient stock of parts and materials to perform drilling and associated operations as per contractual requirements. Ensure planned maintenance and repair of drilling equipment including draw works, mud pumps, top drive, rotary table, and BOP are completed and documented to ensure optimum condition and proper availability of required tools. Rig Move Carries out related duties to prepare the rig for towing, ensure the cantilever, rig floor and drilling equipment are correctly secured by the drilling crew prior to the rig move. Client Management Promote and maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, third party personnel and Client representatives. Responds to client requests and needs concerning materials, equipment, and personnel after getting adequate management approval. Reporting And Documentation Maintains proper logs and records, promptly submitting required reports as per company protocols and regulatory standards. Prepare accurate and timely reports, including daily drilling reports, equipment status reports, and incident reports, to document drilling activities and operational performance.
