Job Description

An Accounts & Finance Manager for a chain of healthcare clinics oversees the financial operations and ensures the fiscal health of the organization. This role is crucial for managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards specific to the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepares and presents financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for two clinics. They analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast future financial performance, and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Leads the annual budgeting process for all clinics. This involves collaborating with clinic managers and department heads to set realistic financial goals, allocate resources effectively, and monitor performance against the budget. They also create financial forecasts to anticipate future needs and potential challenges.
  • Accounts Management: Oversees all accounting functions, including accounts receivable (patient billing, insurance claims) and accounts payable (vendor invoices, salaries). They ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and maintenance of financial records.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitors and manages the organization's cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for daily operations. This includes managing bank accounts, optimizing cash collection processes, and making strategic decisions regarding investments and debt.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensures the chain of clinics complies with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and industry-specific standards. They prepare for and manage internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and transparent.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Provides financial expertise and guidance to support business expansion, new clinic openings, or other strategic initiatives. This involves conducting feasibility studies, performing cost-benefit analyses, and evaluating potential investments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Typically holds a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Many also have a master's degree (e.g., MBA with a finance specialization) or professional certifications like CA Inter or CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial software (e.g., Tally etc), and advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. They must be able to work collaboratively with a diverse team, from administrative staff to clinical professionals, and present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
