The Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the institute, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and auditing. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure financial integrity and support the institution's mission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor and report on budget variances and financial performance.
Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in the development and management of the institution's annual budget.
Collaborate with department heads to forecast financial needs and allocate resources effectively.
3. Compliance & Auditing
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and institutional policies.
Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
4. Accounts Management
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate employee compensation.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ledgers.
5. Financial Systems & Controls
Implement and maintain financial systems and internal controls.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
6. Stakeholder Communication
Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and governing bodies.
Provide training and support on financial procedures and systems as needed.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Advanced certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
