Accountant

Position Title: Accountant Location: [MIRA ROAD (EAST)]   Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in a dynamic chemical manipulating and trading company. The successful candidate will manage financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, prepare financial reports, and help maintain financial compliance with regulations specific to the chemical industry.   Key Responsibilities: Financial Recordkeeping and Reporting: 1.     Maintain and update the company’s general ledger and financial records for all transactions. 2.     Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 3.     Assist with financial reporting as required by senior management. 4.     Accounts Payable & Receivable: 5.     Process and manage supplier invoices. 6.     Manage customer invoicing, track outstanding payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. 7.     Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements to ensure accuracy.   Inventory Management:   1.     Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accurate valuation of stock & check with Godown Team.   Regulatory Compliance & Taxation:   1.     Prepare of tax returns, Tds Payments in accordance with tax laws. 2.     Assist in managing audits on monthly or quarterly basis.   Bank Reconciliation:   1.     Reconcile company bank accounts. 2.     Monitor cash flow and assist in ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.   Communication and Collaboration:   1.     Collaborate with various departments (e.g., procurement, logistics, and sales) to ensure accurate financial data reporting. 2.     Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and stakeholders regarding financial matters.   Required Skills and Qualifications: 1.     Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2.     Proven experience as an accountant in any industry. 3.     Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. 4.     Proficiency in accounting software Tally and Microsoft Excel. 5.     Understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis. 6.     Familiarity with tax regulations. 7.     Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments. 8.     Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.   Familiarity with environmental compliance and sustainability reporting.   Working Conditions: Full-time position.
