Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented accountant to join our team. As the Accountant at Aayushka Assisted Living, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Recording and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing activities, including calculating wages, verifying timesheets, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Coordinate with HR to address any payroll-related inquiries or issues.
• Expense Management: Monitor and control expenses by reviewing invoices, reconciling statements, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Work closely with department heads to track and analyze expenditure patterns.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and adapt accounting practices accordingly.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial data and performance metrics.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed. Implement audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant or similar role, preferably in the healthcare or assisted living industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Certification such as CA, CMA, or ACCA is a plus.
