We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Manager to join our finance team. This role is critical in managing our financial operations and ensuring effective credit control.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and maintain up-to-date financial records.

Credit Control:

Manage the company’s credit control function, including assessing creditworthiness, setting credit limits, and monitoring accounts for overdue payments.

Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts and manage bad debt risk.

Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices and negotiate payment terms.

Collaboration with CA:

Work closely with the Chartered Accountant (CA) to ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and audit documentation.

Coordinate with the CA to resolve any accounting issues or discrepancies.

Reporting:

Prepare and present regular financial reports and analyses to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

Team Management:

Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient performance and professional development.

Manage departmental workflow and allocate resources effectively.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in credit control and financial management.

Proven experience working closely with Chartered Accountants and managing complex financial processes.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and credit control procedures.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
