Account General Manager

🎯 Job Overview

The General Manager – Accounts will oversee all financial and accounting operations within the foam manufacturing business. This role demands deep expertise in cost accounting, inventory control, statutory compliance, and financial reporting tailored to a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will drive financial discipline, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making.

Salary - Upto 12 LPA

📌 Key Responsibilities

🔍 Financial Management

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs
• Ensure timely closure of books and accurate MIS reporting

🏭 Manufacturing-Specific Accounting

• Implement and manage cost accounting systems for foam production
• Monitor raw material usage, wastage, and production costing
• Coordinate with plant heads for accurate inventory valuation and stock audits
• Track capital expenditures and depreciation schedules

📋 Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements
• Liaise with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits
• Maintain robust internal controls and risk mitigation strategies
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies

🤝 Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor the accounting team across multiple locations
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams for financial alignment
• Support senior management with financial insights and strategic recommendations

🧠 Qualifications & Skills

🎓 Education

• CA / ICWA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification

📈 Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years in accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing setup
• Prior experience in foam, plastics, or chemical manufacturing preferred

🛠️ Technical Skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics, Tally)
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards and tax laws
