Account Executive (Accounting)

Reports To: CEO Department: Finance/Investment Job Summary: We are looking for a well-organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Account cum Investment Executive to take charge of both accounting responsibilities and support our investment functions. This is a dynamic role that blends financial record-keeping with investment analysis, ensuring both compliance with regulations and the strategic management of our investments. The ideal candidate will possess experience in accounting and investment management, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: Accounting: Manage day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring all entries are accurately recorded in the company’s accounting software. Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial statements, reports, and the general ledger. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all payments and collections are processed promptly. Reconcile bank statements regularly to ensure the accuracy of financial data. Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with all financial regulations. Coordinate audits by providing necessary documentation and financial records. Investment Management: Monitor and assess the company’s investment portfolio, ensuring all activities align with investment policies and strategic goals. Provide timely updates on investment performance to senior management. Conduct market research to identify new investment opportunities and potential risks. Assist in evaluating potential investments, analyzing risk and return profiles. Track and report on investment returns, valuations, and performance metrics. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including detailed investment performance analysis. Support budgeting and forecasting by providing key financial data and investment insights. Offer recommendations based on financial data to optimize cost-effectiveness and improve investment returns. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with senior management to ensure that the investment strategy aligns with company objectives. Act as a liaison between the company and financial institutions, investment partners, and banks. Assist the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis as required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in accounting, investment management, or a related area. A strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and investment analysis. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and MS Excel. Knowledge of market trends and various investment instruments is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly. Skills & Competencies: Accounting Knowledge: A solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices. Investment Acumen: Experience with financial markets, investment strategies, and portfolio management. Attention to Detail: Proven ability to manage large volumes of financial data while maintaining accuracy. Communication Skills: Capable of clearly explaining complex financial concepts to diverse audiences. Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
