The Academic Counselor/Business Coordinator/Sales professional is a multi-faceted role responsible for guiding students through their academic journey, managing the operational aspects of the institute, and driving sales to ensure the continued growth and success of the business. This role requires a blend of student counseling, business coordination, and sales efforts to attract new students and expand the institute's reach.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Counseling:
- Provide personalized academic guidance to students, assisting them in course selection based on their career goals, interests, and academic needs.
- Advise students on academic progress, addressing challenges, and providing solutions to ensure success.
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions for students needing assistance with their academic trajectory or personal challenges.
- Monitor student performance, offer regular feedback, and recommend appropriate academic support or resources.
- Assist students with career advice, job placement, and post-training planning.
Business Coordination:
- Support daily operations of the institute, ensuring smooth coordination of courses, schedules, and resources.
- Manage and update student records, class schedules, and other relevant data.
- Assist in the logistics of managing instructors, classrooms, and training resources.
- Ensure compliance with institute policies and accreditation standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, corporate partners, and business clients.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management to monitor performance indicators such as enrollment rates, course completion, and student satisfaction.
Sales & Marketing:
- *Lead Generation & Conversion:* Identify and engage prospective students through various channels such as phone calls, email, social media, and campus events. Convert inquiries into enrollments by promoting the institute's programs effectively.
- *Sales Presentations:* Conduct informative sales presentations to prospective students and their families, highlighting the benefits of the institute's programs and services.
- *Sales Strategy:* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales strategies, promotions, and campaigns to attract and retain students.
- *Follow-up:* Proactively follow up with leads, applicants, and existing students to drive enrollment and ensure customer satisfaction.
- *Sales Reporting:* Track and report on sales goals, conversion rates, and student feedback to help refine sales strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
- *Networking & Partnerships:* Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and schools to promote the institute and create referral opportunities.
*Administrative Support:*
- Provide timely responses to student and parent inquiries regarding academic programs, enrollment procedures, and other relevant concerns.
- Assist with the development and improvement of training materials and curriculum resources.
- Help coordinate events, workshops, and open houses to engage prospective students and showcase the institute's offerings.
- Manage the institute’s calendar and assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and other administrative tasks.
*Skills and Qualifications:*
- *Education:* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, Marketing, Counseling, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- *Experience:*
- Previous experience in academic counseling or student services.
- Proven track record in sales, with experience in educational sales, business development, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of sales techniques, lead generation, and conversion strategies.
- *Skills:*
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, advise, and influence prospective students and their families.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM or Sales Management tools.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with both students and business partners.
- Strong understanding of the educational landscape and market trends.
- Goal-oriented with a proven ability to meet sales targets.

- Attend career fairs, educational conferences, and networking events to promote the institute and engage potential clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market needs to continually adjust sales strategies and educational offerings.
- Assist with the creation and management of promotional content for brochures, websites, and social media platforms to attract new students.
