Job Title: Zonal Sales Manager West Department: Sales General Trade (GT) Location: West India. The preferred base location is Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Reports to: Offline Sales Head Team Reporting: Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Territory Sales Managers (TSMs). We are expanding our General Trade footprint across India and are looking for dynamic sales leaders to drive our presence in key regions. Role Summary: The Zonal Sales Manager (West) will be responsible for driving the General Trade (GT) business across West India. This includes expanding distribution channels, leading the sales team, building strong trade relationships, and achieving revenue and growth targets in the assigned geography. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and implement region-specific sales strategies to achieve sales volume, value, and growth targets. Monitor and drive primary and secondary sales across the West region. Work closely with ASMs to ensure execution of beat plans, stock availability, and market coverage. 2. Distribution & Channel Development Identify and appoint new distributors and partners in untapped markets. Strengthen existing distribution network with a focus on width and depth of distribution. Ensure ROI of trade partners and maintain healthy business relationships. 3. Team Management & Development Lead, train, and mentor a team of ASMs and TSIs across states. Set clear KPIs, review performance regularly, and take corrective actions as required. Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team. 4. Market Penetration & Expansion Strategically plan and execute market expansion in Tier 1, 2, and 3 towns. Conduct regular market visits to assess execution, gather market intelligence, and ensure team effectiveness. Collaborate with the marketing team for regional trade marketing initiatives. 5. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to make informed business decisions. Ensure timely submission of sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the senior leadership. 6. Operational Efficiency Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment and stock movement. Manage sales operations including pricing, schemes, claims, credit control, and compliance. Key Requirements: Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Management or relevant field. Minimum 15 years of sales experience in Cookware, Small Appliances, or Consumer Durables , with at least 35 years in a regional leadership role. Hands-on experience in handling General Trade in West India. Strong distributor/channel network knowledge in the region. Proven track record of team management and achieving growth targets. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills. Proficient in MS Excel, PPT, and CRM/SFA tools. Fluent in English; knowledge of West Indian languages is a plus.
