About the role

The Workday Reporting and Insights Developer is a key member of the People Data Solutions team, responsible for delivering high-quality, insightful, and scalable reporting solutions using Workday’s suite of analytics tools. This role requires deep technical expertise across Workday Reporting, Dashboards, Prism Analytics, and People Analytics, and plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the People function and the broader business.

Working collaboratively with stakeholders across People Data & Insights, People Technology, and Areas of Expertise (AOE’s), this role ensures that reporting solutions are accurate, trusted, and aligned with business needs.

Key Accountabilities/Scope

Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:

  • Design and deliver advanced Workday reports, dashboards, and scorecards that enable data-driven decisions across the People function and business.
  • Develop and maintain Workday Prism datasets, data pipelines, and integrations to combine and transform data from multiple sources.
  • Leverage Workday People Analytics (Discovery Boards, Storytelling) to present clear, narrative-driven insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with stakeholders across People Data & Insights, People Technology, and Areas of Expertise to translate business needs into scalable, insightful reporting solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance by implementing validation checks, adhering to privacy and security standards, and collaborating with Data Stewards and Data Owners.
  • Drive self-service analytics by developing user-friendly reporting tools and promoting data literacy across the People function.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation, including technical specifications, metadata, and data lineage for key reporting assets.
  • Stay current with Workday releases and new analytics capabilities, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance existing solutions and deliver new insights.
  • Contribute to analytics initiatives such as dashboard rollouts, data model enhancements, and broader enablement projects aligned with the People Analytics strategy.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Workday reporting tools, including Workday Report Writer, Advanced Reports, Composite Reports, Dashboards, and Calculated Fields.
  • Proven experience with Workday People Analytics (Discovery Boards, Storytelling) and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Practical experience with Workday Prism Analytics, including dataset creation, data transformation, and security configuration.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem solving, debugging, and documentation skills.
  • Ability and experience working in agile project management framework
  • Deep understanding of HR data structures, business processes, and reporting best practices.
  • Proven track record of maintaining data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in reporting deliverables.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to present complex data in a clear, compelling way.
  • Technically curious, proactive, and passionate about continuous improvement and learning in the HR analytics space.
  • Comfortably operating in a fast paced, global environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Desirable:

  • Experience in large or complex organizations with mature HRIS and analytics ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data privacy, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
  • Exposure to other analytics or visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau), and data integration tools.
