Job Brief


One of our esteemed clients is seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President / Director to lead and oversee the entire operations of their copper tube manufacturing business.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep industry expertise, and a proven track record in scaling high-efficiency copper production operations.




Key Responsibilities


  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all plant heads and production units (tubes, pipes and sheets).
  • Drive operational efficiency, quality, and productivity across all production units while meeting budgetary and delivery timelines.
  • Lead capacity expansion, modernisation, and technology upgradation initiatives in line with global best practices.
  • Ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment – from raw material sourcing to final dispatch – in coordination with procurement and logistics.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment), statutory, and regulatory norms.
  • Develop and track KPIs across plants and units, driving performance improvements and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Sales & Marketing, and Business Strategy teams for product innovation and market alignment.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop senior plant leadership and build succession pipelines.
  • Support sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) initiatives at the operational level.



Qualifications


  • B.E. / B.Tech (Metallurgy / Mechanical / Chemical) + MBA (preferred).
  • 20 to 25+ years of experience in copper manufacturing operations, with at least 10 to 15+ years in leadership roles overseeing multiple plants.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale operations for copper tubes, pipes and sheets.
  • Strong exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and modern manufacturing practices.
  • Hands-on experience in driving automation, digitisation, and process excellence initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, and compliance-driven environment.

  • On-time delivery performance and adherence to quality standards.
