About the Role:

Tax Reviewer
3–5 years of experience
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Review
federal and state business tax returns
, including: - Form 1065 (Partnership)
- Form 1120 (C-Corporation)
- Form 1120s (S-Corporation)
- Review related schedules such as
K-1s, M-1, M-2
, and balance sheet/income statement reconciliations. - Ensure correct reporting of
income, expenses, capital accounts, and distributions.
- Review and reconcile
financial statements, trial balances, and general ledgers
with tax return data. - Verify compliance with
IRS and state regulations
, including correct entity classification, depreciation, and tax adjustments. - Identify and correct
errors, inconsistencies, or missing information
in returns prepared by junior staff. - Provide
detailed review notes and feedback
to preparers to maintain accuracy and consistency. - Collaborate with team leads or managers on
complex returns, multi-state filings, or consolidated entities.
- Review
amended returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments
, as applicable. - Ensure
timely completion
of assigned reviews and adherence to filing deadlines. - Stay current with
IRS updates, corporate tax law changes, and software improvements.
- Participate in
training sessions
to improve team efficiency and compliance quality
Need to Have (Must Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in preparing and reviewing US Business Tax Returns (Forms 1065 / 1120 / 1120S).
- In-depth knowledge of US federal and state business tax laws, entity structures, and filing requirements.
- Proficiency in tax software such as Lacerte, Drake, UltraTax, ProSeries, or ProConnect.
- Strong understanding of Schedule K-1 preparation, M-1/M-2 reconciliations, and book-to-tax adjustments.
- Excellent analytical, review, and quality-control skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive review feedback.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple returns during tax season.
- Commitment to maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Understanding and drafting workpapers on partners and shareholder basis
- Follow and update the checklist for every return prepared and reviewed
Good to Have:
- CPA, EA, or PTIN certification preferred.
- Experience working with US CPA firms or tax outsourcing companies.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting systems.
- Exposure to multi-state, consolidated, or foreign reporting (Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, etc.).
- Experience with review team supervision and training.
- Knowledge of AI-driven tax workflow systems or automation tools.

Additional Information
- Job Type: Contractual
- Location: Indore (M.P.) - On-site
- Timings: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST (Monday to Saturday). You may be required to work additional hours as needed.
This position is also open for part-time engagement and can be performed remotely.

hourly compensation model
