US People Operations Specialist (India-based, US-facing)

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR professional to join our People team in

India and take ownership of supporting People Operations for our US employees. This role is

critical in ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely HR processes while delivering a positive

employee experience.

You will act as a key point of contact for US employees, providing responsive support and

building trust through clear communication and service excellence. Beyond BAU, we’re looking

for someone with a continuous improvement mindset who can help us identify ways to

enhance efficiency and employee experience in US People Operations.


US People Operations Support & Employee Experience

• Serve as the first point of contact for US People Ops queries, ensuring timely, accurate,

and service-oriented responses.

• Manage end-to-end US payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with

local regulations.

• Handle US employment contracts, employee documentation, and HR records.

• Oversee the background verification (BGV) process, ensuring timely completion.

• Support onboarding of US new hires, ensuring a smooth and engaging employee

experience.

• Partner closely with US stakeholders, India People Ops colleagues, and external

vendors to ensure seamless delivery.


Process Management & Continuous Improvement

• Identify and suggest improvements to simplify and strengthen US People Ops

processes.

• Ensure consistency, standardisation, and efficiency in HR operations delivery.

• Collaborate with colleagues in India, UK, and the US to share best practices and

improve global alignment.

Data, Systems & Reporting

• Maintain accurate HRIS and employee data for US employees, ensuring integrity and

compliance.

• Support reporting requirements and provide data inputs to People leadership as

needed.


What We’re Looking For

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in US HR Operations with strong knowledge of payroll,

contracts, onboarding, and BGV processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to engage confidently with

US-based employees and stakeholders.

• Strong service orientation: approachable, responsive, and employee-experience

focused.

• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset: proactive in identifying and

implementing process enhancements.

• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Comfortable working with HR systems/tools (experience with HRIS a plus).

• Willingness to work in US time zones (night shifts required).
