Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our team in Ahmedabad. In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, and optimization of transportation systems, working closely with internal teams, public agencies, and community stakeholders. You will utilize transportation planning software, GIS tools, and analytical methods to develop sustainable mobility solutions that enhance efficiency, safety, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Transportation System Analysis: Conduct traffic flow analysis, capacity assessments, and route optimization studies to support effective mobility strategies.
• Data Collection & Modelling: Collect, process, and interpret transportation data using GIS and planning software to model existing conditions and predict future demand.
• Urban & Regional Planning Support: Assist in preparing transportation master plans, feasibility studies, and policy recommendations aligned with sustainable urban planning principles.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, planners, government bodies, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet local needs, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.
• Sustainability & Innovation: Integrate environmental considerations, inclusive design, and innovative mobility technologies to develop sustainable and resilient transportation systems.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare maps, reports, presentations, and supporting documents for internal use, project reviews, and public consultations.

Required Skills

• Basic proficiency in transportation planning and GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with experience interpreting complex datasets.
• Understanding of sustainable transportation principles, urban mobility concepts, and smart city frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction and team collaboration.
