What this job involves:
As a Transport Manager at JLL, you will be the strategic leader responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing comprehensive fleet operations and vehicle maintenance to ensure safe, efficient transportation services for our client's employees. This critical role combines operational excellence with client relationship management, requiring you to optimize routes, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise transport teams while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service quality. You will play a vital role in JLL's commitment to delivering innovative workplace solutions by creating seamless commute experiences that support our clients' business objectives and employee satisfaction.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Plan, schedule, and manage daily transport routes and operations while ensuring efficient vehicle utilization and optimal route performance
Oversee comprehensive vehicle maintenance, repairs, and fitness certifications to guarantee roadworthiness and fleet reliability
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and government compliance requirements while conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintaining road safety standards
Supervise, train, and manage drivers and transport staff while maintaining discipline, monitoring performance, and ensuring team accountability
Serve as primary point of contact for transport-related queries and coordinate with vendors or logistics providers for special events and deliveries
Monitor operational data to identify improvement opportunities in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality while utilizing technology for route planning and fleet management
Proactively engage with clients to exceed expectations through exceptional customer service while building effective relationships across multiple organizational levels.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
3-5 years of experience in transportation or facilities management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with program management experience
Knowledge of transportation demand management principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with transport management software and tools
Strong knowledge of administration, facilities, and transport management principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in fleet management or transportation operations
Experience with route optimization software and GPS tracking systems
Knowledge of government transportation regulations and compliance requirements
Background in vendor management and contract negotiations
Familiarity with budget management and cost optimization strategies
Experience in client relationship management within corporate environments
Knowledge of safety management systems and incident reporting procedures.
