Transport Manager

We are searching for a Transport Manager to oversee and manage our transportation operations. As the Transport Manager, you will be tasked with responsibilities such as vehicle tracking, driver management, ensuring timely deliveries, and controlling costs to maintain efficient transport operations. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining daily vehicle reports with details like hours of operation, total kilometers driven, daily mileage, and routes taken. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking fuel usage, assigning available loads to vehicles for maximum efficiency, planning routes, and ensuring proper utilization of trucks. Driver management is also a crucial aspect of this role, which involves keeping driver reports, ensuring adherence to safety rules and company policies, and conducting driver verifications before hiring. In order to ensure smooth operations, you will need to guarantee that all pickups and deliveries are completed on time, promptly address transport-related complaints, and verify loading and unloading points to prevent errors or fraud. Moreover, you will be responsible for transporter and cost control, including ensuring compliance with company policies for money retention from transporters, monitoring transport costs, and identifying ways to reduce expenses. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field, along with experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management. A good understanding of route planning, fuel management, and vehicle maintenance is essential, along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. The ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and a proactive approach to resolving issues are also key qualifications for this role.
