Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage daily transportation activities, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
Oversee fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, insurance, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Manage drivers and ground staff, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and addressing operational issues.
Coordinate vehicle arrangements for loading and unloading activities, optimizing route planning.
Track and analyze transportation costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain strong communication with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Ensure all transportation activities comply with legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Implement and manage transportation management systems (TMS) to improve operational efficiency (preferred).
Prepare reports and metrics to monitor KPIs and operational performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in
Logistics
,
Supply Chain Management
, or a related field.
Proven experience in
transportation management
,
fleet supervision
, and
driver operations
.
Strong knowledge of
vehicle insurance
, loading/unloading protocols, and route planning.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and multitasking skills.
Strong
communication
and
customer service
skills with a problem-solving mindset.
Proficiency with
transportation or fleet management software
is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
