15 years full time educationSummary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Architect specializing in both IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) solutions to lead enterprise cloud initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and resilient architectures that support digital transformation, application modernization, and hybrid cloud strategies. This role requires deep expertise in Azure-native services, infrastructure design, cloud automation, governance, and DevOps integration. Roles and responsibilities: - Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end Azure solutions across IaaS and PaaS layers, including VMs, VNets, App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, and more. - Define high-level architecture diagrams and low-level implementation plans, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost optimization. - Select appropriate services, components, and design patterns for cloud-native and hybrid deployments. - Architect and deploy core IaaS components: Azure VMs, Availability Sets/Zones, Load Balancers, NSGs, VPN Gateways, Azure Bastion. - Design and implement hybrid networking using ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, and Azure DNS. - Plan and manage disaster recovery (DR), backup, and high availability solutions. - Design and implement modern application stacks using App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Logic Apps. - Enable DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Terraform/Bicep. - Integrate Azure PaaS with services such as Event Hub, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and Application Gateway. - Define and enforce security architecture: Azure RBAC, IAM, Key Vault, Private Endpoints, and Policy-as-Code (Azure Policy/Security Center). - Ensure cloud environments meet compliance standards (e.g., ISO, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST). - Establish landing zones, subscription strategies, and tagging/taxonomy frameworks. - Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep. - Automate provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Automation. - Continuously review resource usage to optimize cost and performance (FinOps). - Collaborate with app development, security, DevOps, and operations teams to deliver cohesive cloud solutions. - Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural oversight across multiple teams or projects. - Present solutions to stakeholders, leadership, and non-technical audiences. Professional and Technical skills: - 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in Azure cloud architecture - Proven experience with Azure IaaS (VMs, VNets, NSG, Load Balancer, Azure Files, etc.) - Strong experience in Azure PaaS services: App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB - Expertise in Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates - Deep understanding of cloud security, networking, identity, and governance frameworks - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert - Familiarity with hybrid environments, Azure Arc, and on-prem to Azure migrations - Experience in enterprise-level cloud migration, landing zone implementation, or multi-region deployments - Knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS) and container security - Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills - Problem-solving attitude and ability to lead cross-functional efforts - Ability to document and articulate architectural decisions clearly - Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments Additional information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience. - The position is at our Gurugram office. - A 15 year full time education is required.
