Technical Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement software for equipment control, automation, and data processing.
• Develop applications for real-time control systems, user interfaces (HMIs), and backend services.
• Integrate software with hardware components including sensors, actuators, PLCs, and motion controllers.
• Very Good knowledge of Computer science fundamentals like, Operating systems internals (Windows & Linux Preferred), Networking and Storage systems.
• Define software architecture and design patterns for scalable and maintainable systems.
• Select appropriate technologies and frameworks based on project requirements.
• Ensure modularity, reusability, and performance optimization in software design.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system-level tests.
• Validate software functionality in lab and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues during equipment commissioning and operation.
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and cross-functional planning sessions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including software specifications, user manuals, and validation reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality protocols.
• Identify opportunities for software-driven improvements in equipment performance and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in automation, edge computing, and industrial IoT.
• Lead initiatives to modernize legacy systems and adopt new software tools.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers and technicians.
• Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects and priorities.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers to define technical requirements, evaluate capabilities, and ensure timely delivery of Equipment’s.
• Conduct supplier audits and technical reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Resolve technical issues with suppliers related to quality, performance, and integration.

• Experience with robotics, motion control, and vision systems.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical reviews and drive decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, preferably in equipment or industrial automation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, C#, or Java.
• Experience with real-time systems, embedded software, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, EtherCAT).
• Familiarity with PLC programming, SCADA systems, IPC and HMI development.
