Technical Director

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Technical Leadership

• Provide strategic direction across key areas including Application & Data Modernization, AI (including Generative AI), and BI technologies.
• Define and develop new service offerings aligned with emerging technologies and market demands.
• Lead high-performing teams to deliver enterprise-grade software products using modern tech stacks: Java, Spring, Python, Flutter, Angular, React, Vue, microservices, Kafka, Azure, AWS, and GCP.

Practice Management

• Scale and manage application development and data engineering practices across geographies.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code through adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technology trends and their potential business impact.

People Leadership

• Mentor and coach cross-functional teams; support ongoing learning, upskilling, and leadership development.
• Lead recruitment efforts and hire top talent to build robust engineering and data teams.
• Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture grounded in collaboration and innovation.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning for team members.

Client Engagement & Delivery Excellence

• Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader to clients, including senior executives, on digital transformation initiatives.
• Drive consultative conversations and engage in architecture and design discussions.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex delivery challenges and technical issues.

Process Optimization

• Champion process improvements and adherence to quality, compliance, and security standards.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and delivery outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 15+ years of progressive experience in IT with proven leadership in application development and data engineering.
• Strong background in Java-based development, microservices architecture, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and asynchronous programming techniques.
• Experience in data engineering: ETL pipelines, data warehouse modernization, big data solutions, and database design.
• Solid understanding of OOP, OOD, SOLID principles, design patterns, and modern development practices.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and consulting environments (preferred).
• Proven experience managing and mentoring large, distributed teams.
• Strong presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Prior experience engaging directly with Director-level and above clients.
