Role Overview

We are seeking a senior engineering professional to lead the new division’s project engineering, sourcing, and execution functions. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in handling EPC projects within the sugar, distillery, or renewables sectors and will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of capital-intensive projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project planning, design, engineering, procurement, execution, and commissioning
• Define and monitor project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and resource requirements
• Coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines including process, mechanical, electrical, and civil
• Handle vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and procurement strategy
• Ensure regulatory, safety, and quality compliance at every stage of the project lifecycle
• Report project status and risks to senior management
• Build and manage high-performing project and engineering teams

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in project engineering and execution
• Strong background in EPC projects, preferably in sugar, distillery, or renewable energy industries
• Experience in greenfield and brownfield project implementation
• Proficiency in engineering codes, budgeting, vendor development, and contract management
• Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
• A postgraduate degree in management or engineering is an added advantage
