Assist with development of project designsWork with Lead Project engineer to understand process & design needs, Development & management of engineering Designs/technical specificationsAssist Lead engineer for project purchasing requirementsDevelop Functional and detailed specification for the projectsLithium Ion Phosphate Battery selection wrt following parameters:-C-RateSizing for DegradationEfficiency Calculation including Auxilary ConsumptionBattery Rack designingCertification complianceHVAC Sizing and Calculation alongwith HVAC ducting designPCS Invertor Selection wrt following parameters:-Voltage, Current and Generated powerBattery Charging and Discharging PatternsCertification complianceAC and DC Circuit designing including the following parameters:-Breaker, Fuse, Combiner Box selectionGround Insulation monitoring schemeElectrical protection scheme designing for both AC and DC side of BESSUnit Controller Cabinet designing including the following parameters:-Unit Controller and IO selectionCommunication mode freeze with BMS, PCS, HVAC, FPS etc.Health Monitoring of the entire BESSFire Protection and Suppression system designContainer 20/40ft selection and designing for accommodating all BESS components including certification requirementsBESS Use case designing including the following customs:-Peak ShavingEnergy ShiftingMicro GridBlack StartVolt/Var CompensationDiesel Fuel SaverGrid FormingRamp SupportSynchronizing and Load SharingDemand ControlOther project specific use cases as per applicabilityEMS Controller Cabinet designing including the following parameters:-EMS Controller and IO selectionCommunication with 3rd party PV SCADA, Wind Turbine Controller and GridSCADA monitoring including the following:-Database building and integration of 3rd party IEDs over Industry standard protocols like IEC61850, DNP3, IEC870, Modbus etc.HMI Graphics development specifically for BESS, Solar, Wind monitoringRemote Cloud Data Reporting and Architecture DesigningEngineering Documentation and ApprovalsIndependently conduct FAT for Control systemEnsures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, and documentation) are in place prior to commencing work.Ensures that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation and implementation process at minimum cost for allocated work assignments.Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplinesReports progress and technical problems to LPE / EMPro-actively identifies potential quality and efficiency improvements within assigned work.Active participation in Organization initiatives such as Six Sigma, HOS.Actively participate in project pre-commissioning, commissioning and SAT for the assigned project.
Platforms & Domain Experience
Battery Energy Storage System Experience > 7 yrsLithium-Ion Battery / PCS / HVAC / Fire Protection and Suppression System / ContainerRTU / PLC / SCADA System design & detailed Engineering3rd Party InterfaceDesign & Engineering including communication protocol IEC61850, DNP3, IEC870, Modbus etc.Site Supervision and Commissioning experience is must in high voltage, high risk environments
Domain Knowledge – Electrical Domain Skillsets Including Renewable Energy Requirements
