Job Title: Senior Structural Design Engineer Company: B.S. Projects and Engineers Pvt. Ltd. A 24-year-old Civil Engineering Consultancy Company providing Structural Design,Geo-Technical Investigation, Retrofitting, Rehabilitation, Ground Improvement, And Project Management Consultancy Services. Location: Kolkata, West Bengal (Head Office) Type: Full-time (On-site / Hybrid as per project requirement)   Job Purpose: To lead, design, review, and deliver safe, economical, and code-compliant RCC and steel structural designs for industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential projects. The role involves coordination with architects, clients, and site engineers to ensure smooth execution and structural integrity.   A. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design & Analysis Ø Perform structural design and analysis for RCC & steel structures using relevant Indian Standards (IS codes). Ø Use software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, RCDC, AutoCAD and others as required. Ø Prepare design basis reports (DBR), calculation sheets, and load data. Ø Ensure all designs comply with IS 456, IS 800, IS 875 (Parts 1–5), IS 1893, IS 13920, and other applicable codes. Ø Optimize designs for safety, serviceability, and cost-effectiveness.     2. Drawing & Documentation Ø Prepare and review detailed structural drawings (foundation, framing, rebar, connection details). Ø Coordinate with drafting team for final drawings and ensure accuracy before issue. Ø Maintain revision records and documentation for client submission.   3. Client & Project Coordination Ø Collaborate with architects, PMC, and MEP consultants for design interface and coordination. Ø Attend technical meetings and explain design intent to clients or site teams. Ø Handle client design queries and provide timely technical clarifications.   4. Site & Supervision Support Ø Conduct site visits for inspection, measurement verification, and design issue resolution. Ø Support during retrofitting or rehabilitation projects with detailed assessment reports. Ø Review contractor submissions and ensure design compliance at site.   5. Quality, Training & Reporting Ø Ensure quality assurance as per internal design checklist and SOP. Ø Guide junior engineers and review their design work. Ø Prepare periodic progress reports and maintain project records.   B. Required Skills & Competencies Ø Strong command of STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, RCDC, AutoCAD. Ø In-depth knowledge of IS codes and structural design principles. Ø Ability to independently handle industrial, commercial, and multi-storey buildings. Ø Good communication and coordination skills. Ø Leadership and mentoring capabilities.   C. Qualification: Ø B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) Ø M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering (Preferred)   D. Experience: Ø Minimum 8 to 15 years in structural design (RCC & steel). Ø Experience in industrial, factory, and institutional building projects preferred.   CTC Range (Indicative for Kolkata): Experience CTC Range (per annum) 8–10 years ₹4.0 – ₹6.0 LPA Includes basic pay, allowances, and company benefits (EPF, mediclaim, performance incentive).   Working Schedule: 6 days/week (Monday–Saturday) 10 AM – 7PM Site visits as required.   Career Growth Path: Senior Structural Engineer → Lead Structural Engineer → Design Head / Technical Manage
