We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Supplier Development and Procurement Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end supplier management processes, optimizing procurement strategies, and driving cost efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Development and Management

• Conduct supply market analysis to identify potential suppliers and industry trends.
• Perform supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms.
• Develop and enhance supplier relationships for long-term collaboration.
• Manage supplier performance through regular reviews and feedback.

Strategic Sourcing and Procurement

• Lead strategic planning and category management efforts to optimize procurement strategies.
• Develop and implement category strategies to meet business objectives.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify savings opportunities and drive cost optimization.
• Collaborate on long-term planning initiatives to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.

Contract and Cost Management

• Oversee contract management processes, including compliance, renewal, and renegotiation.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives through value engineering and share-of-business decisions.
• Utilize costing models such as ZBC (zero-based costing) and CB (cost-based) for financial planning.
• Manage tooling negotiations to support production needs.

Procurement Operations

• Lead RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) to ensure competitive and efficient sourcing.
• Establish and maintain purchasing SOPs and procurement policies.
• Drive new component/product development projects in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor and manage raw material index fluctuations to ensure accurate costing.

Skills and Competencies:

• Expertise in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and development.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and category strategy development.
• Proficiency in procurement and contract management practices.
• Knowledge of costing methodologies (ZBC, CB) and value engineering techniques.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in supplier development, procurement, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with procurement tools and processes, including RFx management.
• Strong understanding of raw material pricing and cost optimization strategies.
