Key Responsibilities
Leadership Scope Head of Unit 3 Stores with full responsibility for team performance and discipline.
Directly manage a team of 5–6 store executives /data entry staff and 10–15 labour/helpers/operators for loading, unloading, stacking, and movement.Lead shift scheduling, manpower allocation, and performance reviews.
Train and mentor staff in ERP processes, safety, and handling standards.
1) Inbound, Gate & GRN
Coordinate gate entries with Security; verify PO, challan/eway bill, invoice, HSN/UoM, quantity, quality gatestatus. Create GRN / Purchase Receipt in BC within 24 hours of receipt; tag lot/batch/roll numbers (e.g., fabric/leather dye lots, foam batches). If QC required, place in Quarantine Bin; post to usable stock only after QA clearance and document MRIR/NCRas applicable. For discrepancies/damage/shortsupply, raise NCR, inform Purchase & Supplier, and arrange Return to Vendor (RTV) with RGP/NRGP documentation.
2) Storage, Handling & 5S
Define and maintain bin locations (racks, floor, cages) with bin labels & barcodes/QRs. Maintain 5S scores; weekly housekeeping, monthly store audit.
3) Issue to Production & Internal Logistics
Work off PPC plan: convert Production Orders → Reservation Entries → Pick Lists in BC; kit materials as per BOM. Ensure issuance TAT ≤ 2 hours from request for planned orders. Post Consumption against Production Orders accurately (UoM conversions for meters/rolls/sheets/pieces). Handle returns from line (excess/short/defect), negative consumption corrections, and substitutions/alternate items with PPC approval.
4) Inventory Control & Planning
Maintain min–max and safety stock parameters in BC; collaborate with HO to set reorder points based on lead time, variability, and usage. Run ABC/FSN analysis; drive cycle counts (A: weekly, B: monthly, C: quarterly). Investigate & close variances ≤ 0.5% per cycle. Publish weekly Shortage Report, Reservation Ageing, Excess/Slow/Obsolete stock list; propose liquidation or transfer moves. Track inventory turns and DOH vs targets; keep nonmoving >90 days to a minimum.
5) Supplier & Purchase Coordination
Share GRN TAT, NCRs, and ontime delivery (OTD) feedback with Purchase; flag partial/inconsistent suppliesand packaging issues. Alert Purchase on delays vs production plan; request expedite or alternate item approvals. Support HO in safetystock orders, ratecontract adherence, and MOQoptimisations.
6) People, Assets & Cost Lead the stores team (executives, data entry, pickers, forklift/stacker operators, helpers); plan shift rosters aligned to production. Control handling losses, damage, pilferage, and store operating costs vs budget.
7) Continuous Improvement Reduce issuance lead time, improve picking accuracy Implement kanban for fastmoving hardware; standardise kitting for sofa/chair models to cut linestoppage. Drive periodic rootcause reviews for stock variances and shortages; close CAPA with owners & dates.
MustHave Experience & Skills 5–8 years in manufacturing stores/warehouse, Strong command of Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central/any ERP (GRN, reservations, pick/issue, consumption, adjustments, binning). Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills; People leadership: team deployment, training, discipline, vendor/transport coordination. Education Graduate (Any discipline). Diploma/Certification in stores/SCM/warehouse management preferred
