Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Oversee daily store operations including sales, inventory, staff management, and customer service.
Ensure stock availability, proper merchandising, and timely replenishment of goods.
Monitor and achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
Maintain high standards of store hygiene, safety, and visual presentation.
Supervise, train, and motivate store team members to achieve performance goals.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
Manage cash handling, billing accuracy, and daily financial reconciliations.
Coordinate with the purchase and logistics team for stock management and deliveries.
Conduct regular audits on stock, shrinkage, and store compliance.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on sales, expenses, and operational performance.
Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and statutory compliances.
Drive promotional activities and local marketing initiatives to boost sales.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in supermarket or retail store management.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Excellent knowledge of retail operations and inventory control.
Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Office and POS systems.
Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as per store requirements.
