About the Role

Technical Program Manager (TPM)

This role requires a strong engineering background, exceptional communication skills, and proven experience managing programs from concept to production.


Key Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale engineering programs across distributed teams.
  • Drive end-to-end SDLC processes including CI/CD, BDD/TDD, test automation, and release management.
  • Manage program scope, risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines.

Agile Execution & Coaching

  • Lead Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, PI Planning, Retrospectives, Reviews).
  • Drive SAFe/Scrum/Kanban best practices across teams.
  • Build high-performing Agile teams through coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management

  • Align business priorities with engineering execution.
  • Provide transparent updates through dashboards, risk reports, and progress summaries.
  • Manage senior-level stakeholder expectations across engineering, product, and leadership teams.

Metrics, Governance & Reporting

  • Track Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down, cycle time, throughput, and predictability.
  • Ensure backlog grooming, prioritization, and user story readiness.
  • Build and maintain program documentation, roadmaps, dashboards, RACI charts, and risk logs.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify blockers early and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure cross-team alignment to resolve dependencies quickly.
  • Proactively escalate critical risks with clear remediation options.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • 15–18 years of experience in Technical Program/Project Management.
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale software programs.
  • Strong experience with Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Hands-on experience with SDLC processes, CI/CD, BDD, TDD, and test automation.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership.
  • Engineering or Computer Science academic background preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills / Nice-to-Have

  • PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, CSM/PSM, or equivalent Agile certifications.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or large enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro.
  • Ability to coach teams in Agile adoption and maturity.
