Sr. Quantity Surveyor

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civil) to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of civil engineering projects — from initial estimation and budgeting to final accounts. You will ensure cost efficiency, contractual compliance, and accurate project financial management while supporting the timely and quality delivery of works.

The ideal candidate should have a strong civil engineering background, extensive experience in quantity surveying, and expertise in handling contracts and cost control for large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities), rate analysis, and cost estimates for civil works.
• Manage cost planning, budgeting, and monitoring of civil engineering projects.
• Evaluate work progress on-site and prepare running account (RA) bills, interim/final payment certificates.
• Handle contract administration, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Perform cost analysis, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Liaise with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure financial control.
• Negotiate with vendors and contractors for best pricing and value engineering.
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports on cost and progress for management review.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and quantity surveyors.

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management.
• Proven experience (8–12 years) as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (CPWD, FIDIC, EPC, etc.) and tendering processes.
• Proficiency in estimation software (AutoCAD, MS Excel, Costing Tools, ERP systems).
• Expertise in civil work measurement, rate analysis, and cost control.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within deadlines.
