Sr. Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, your primary responsibility will be to verify measurements and quantities according to work order item descriptions, standard specifications, and drawings. You will also be responsible for authenticating bill documents, studying contract documents, and finalizing quantity abstract sheets. Additionally, you will need to coordinate with various departments for billing-related queries and ensure compliance with measurement standards. Key Responsibilities: - Verify measurements and quantities as per work order item descriptions and standard specifications - Authenticate bill documents and study contract documents - Prepare quantity abstract sheets in SAP and obtain necessary approvals - Finalize FIM Reconciliation statement for final bill and Consumption statement for each RA bill - Collect field activity data for billing purposes - Coordinate with construction, stores, contracts, and accounts departments for billing queries - Conduct physical verification of measurements at the site and prepare quantity variance reports - Place requests in SAP for authorizations and track approvals in SIMS - Address contractor queries regarding bill status and quantity variances - Interface with various departments such as Construction, Project Accounts, Project Stores, Contracts, IT, and SAP Qualifications Required: - Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying (Civil) Additional Details: The ideal candidate should have a Degree in Civil Engineering with 7-12 years of experience or a Diploma in Civil Engineering with 14-19 years of experience. Experience in Quantity Surveying functions for large-scale plant or facility construction in industries like Refinery, Petrochemicals, Oil and Gas is preferred. Skills & Competencies: - Knowledge of basic civil engineering principles and technical drawing interpretation - Familiarity with standards, specifications, and IS codes - Understanding of various measurement techniques - Proficiency in automation tools and software - Knowledge of best engineering and billing practices - Experience in estimation, costing, and rate analysis - Ability to evaluate different vendors and manage contracts effectively - Strong organizational skills to process bills efficiently and meet deadlines - Familiarity with General Conditions of Contracts (GCC), Special Conditions of Contracts (SCC), and Schedule of Rates (SOR),
