What You’ll Do
"We seek motivated professionals to lead projects in the Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team, focusing on non-ferrous and specialty metals. The role ensures compliance with ASTM, IEC, and UL standards while delivering cost-effective, reliable solutions on time and within budget. Responsibilities include mentoring juniors, driving innovation, leading ProLaunch projects, and collaborating with Global Procurement and EIIC divisions. The position emphasizes Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and cost optimization through New Product Introductions (NPI) using Design to Value methodology. Strong technical expertise in Low and Medium Voltage electrical products, and a system-level perspective are essential, along with excellent decision-making, communication, and leadership abilities. The applicant should have capability to analyze commodity spend data & leverage data analytics & ideation principles to create new project opportunities."
- Proven track record in executing strategic and operational plans for VAVE, resourcing, negotiation, and part rationalization to achieve measurable cost-out goals.
- Sound technical knowledge of LV/MV electrical products—preferably panelboard, Switchboard, switchgear assemblies and components such as circuit breakers, switches, and fuses.
- Strong knowledge of global design standards (IEC, UL, CSA, NEMA) and compliance testing such as short circuit, temperature rise, and arc tests per IEEE/IEC/UL standards.
- Proficient in Product Teardown analysis, Design and Competitive Benchmarking, Function analysis, and leading technical evaluations for decision-making.
- Experience in technically leading projects through all stages of the product development cycle, including Agile ProLaunch processes.
- Strong collaboration with SCM to develop local ecosystems for prototypes and testing.
- Coordination with cross-functional teams (Design, Simulation, Reliability, Marketing, Manufacturing) to deliver engineering designs and specifications.
- Hands-on experience in plants for resolving technical issues, driving LEAN initiatives, and DFSS-certified for early risk identification and robust product development.
- Expertise in product costing, cost analysis, and leveraging manufacturing processes/design features for cost optimization.

Qualifications
Minimum education for this position is a Bachelor / Masters in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, with demonstrated experience in technical engineering organization. (Preferably worked in Electrical industry)8-10 years of experience with multinational engineering organization
