Job Title: Senior Accountant

Reports To: Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and policies. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO modules) and strong analytical and organizational skills. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, reconciliations, financial analysis, and process improvements within the SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate posting of financial transactions in SAP.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in accordance with company deadlines.
• Generate and analyze financial reports from SAP to support management decision-making.
• Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of SAP financial modules (FI/CO).
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring data integrity within SAP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, FP&A, Operations) to ensure smooth financial processes.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing relevant SAP-based documentation.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company accounting policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy using SAP tools.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on SAP experience (FI/CO module preferred).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SAP ERP (especially FI/CO modules — General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting).
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience with financial consolidations and reporting tools (e.g., BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud, or Power BI) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
