We are looking for an experienced Splunk Developer with strong expertise in developing, administering, and optimizing Splunk environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building dashboards, creating alerts, integrating data sources, and ensuring the reliability and performance of Splunk for monitoring, analytics, and security insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and visualizations for IT operations, security, and business monitoring.
  • Ingest and index data from multiple sources, including logs, APIs, and databases, into Splunk.
  • Create and optimize Splunk searches, correlation rules, and custom scripts to enhance visibility and alerting.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to identify key metrics and improve system observability.
  • Develop and manage Splunk apps and add-ons to extend platform functionality.
  • Perform Splunk administration tasks, including configuration, upgrades, scaling, and troubleshooting.
  • Support data onboarding, normalization, and parsing using regular expressions (regex) and field extractions.
  • Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and manage Splunk user accounts and permissions.
  • Tune performance and manage system health to ensure high availability and optimized indexing/search performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate monitoring requirements into actionable Splunk solutions.
  • Maintain documentation of dashboards, data models, and workflows.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Splunk Developer or Splunk Engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in Splunk Enterprise / Splunk Cloud development and administration.
  • Solid experience with SPL (Search Processing Language) for building complex searches and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with data onboarding, parsing, and normalization.
  • Experience creating alerts, reports, and dashboards tailored to operational and business requirements.
  • Knowledge of Python, Shell, or PowerShell scripting for automation and integrations.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and system administration concepts.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, SIEM solutions, and integrations (e.g., ServiceNow, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve performance and data ingestion issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
