Job Description – Sr. Engineer/AM (E&E Commodity)
Experience: 2-4 yearsDepartment: Strategic SourcingLocation: Dharuhera, HaryanaRole Overview:The Sourcing Engineer (E&E Commodity) will be responsible for developing, sourcing, and managing suppliers for electrical and electronics components, ensuring cost competitiveness, quality compliance, timely delivery, and alignment with company strategy. The role requires strong technical knowledge of E&E parts, market intelligence, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Electrical & Electronics commodities (e.g., LV/HV wire, connectors, relays, sensors, controllers, PCBs, HV battery, Inverter components, etc.).Conduct supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding in coordination with the Commodity Manager.Support cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations, value engineering, and alternative sourcing.Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify new sourcing opportunities and emerging technologies.Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams for supplier selection during new product development (NPD) phases.Drive value engineering, cost reduction initiatives, and localization efforts in line with business objectives.Support new product development (NPD) projects by ensuring supplier readiness and sourcing activities within timelines.Ensure supplier compliance with industry standards (ISO/TS, IATF 16949, RoHS, REACH, AIS standards for automotive, etc.).Monitor market trends, commodity price movements, and risk factors in the E&E domain.Coordinate with Supplier Quality teams to drive APQP/PPAP, audits, and corrective actions.Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements (RoHS, REACH, ISO standards).Qualifications & Experience:Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline.Experience: 2-4 years of sourcing/purchasing experience in automotive, industrial, or electronics domain with exposure to E&E commodities.knowledge of electrical & electronics components, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.Experience in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and cost analysis.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/ERP), MS Office tools.Familiarity with supplier audits, PPAP, APQP, and quality systems.Skills & Competencies:Technical understanding of E&E commodities.Supplier relationship and stakeholder management.Project management and NPD sourcing exposure.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management ability.Language : Hindi , EnglishKey Performance Indicators (KPIs):Achievement of annual cost savings and localization targets.Supplier OTD (On-time Delivery) performance.Lead time reduction and sourcing cycle time.New supplier development and risk mitigation.Mail your CV at : parul.j@pmielectro.com & mayank.kaushik@pmielectro.com.
