Sourcing Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are hiring for the role of a Sourcing Coordinator based in Mumbai for Siffron India. The Sourcing Coordinator will be responsible for the evaluation/analysis and timely turnaround of the quotes and bids.

Essential Functions:

·        Identify appropriate suppliers for each quote received from the US sourcing team (Estimators/Commodity Managers).

·        Solicit supplier quotations for new and existing items received from the US sourcing team.

·        Determine and align the suppliers on the total lead time expectations from receipt of order to customer delivery.

·        Perform cost and lead time analysis to meet customer expectations.

·        Coordinate all quotes with US sourcing team to ensure proper execution.

·        Research new sources of supply if required.

·        Effectively communicate and review quoting threshold data with US and India Sourcing teams.

·        Work effectively with US and India Sourcing teams to collaborate on the Approved Supplier list (ASL’s) and supplier selection and development.

·        Generate and maintain reports as required.

Performance Measures:

·        Turnaround time of quotes and bids.

·        Effectiveness of supplier selection.

·        Accuracy of costs and lead time.

·        Utilization of cost analysis and sourcing tools.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Works:

·        Full time – 9am to 6pm (International calls as required after normal working hours).

Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Business/Engineering or a related field.

·        3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Global Supply Chain Management, and Strategic Sourcing.

·        Experience in sourcing Plastics and Metal parts.

Skills:

·        Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

·        Excellent project management, negotiation, and time management.

·        Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with global cross-functional teams and external vendors.

·        Ability to work independently.

·        Domestic travel may be required.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom/Teams, MRP, ERP etc.
