Sourcing Coordinator

Role Overview: As a Sourcing Coordinator for new materials, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and on-boarding innovative ingredients and packaging solutions that align with the brand's commitment to luxury, efficacy, and sustainability. Your role will involve collaborating closely with R&D, product development, and quality assurance teams to ensure that all sourced materials meet stringent standards and contribute to the creation of exceptional skincare products. Key Responsibilities: - Research and identify emerging ingredients and packaging materials that align with market trends and consumer preferences. - Evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, sustainability practices, and alignment with brand values. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers. - Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective sourcing without compromising on quality. - Work closely with R&D and product development teams to understand material requirements and specifications. - Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure all materials meet regulatory and safety standards. - Maintain accurate records of all sourcing activities, including supplier contracts, material specifications, and compliance certifications. - Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure all sourced materials comply with relevant standards. - Monitor industry trends and competitor products to identify potential opportunities for innovation and differentiation. - Attend trade shows and industry events to network with suppliers and stay informed about market developments. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably within the cosmetics or skincare industry. - Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, in-depth knowledge of material sourcing, supplier evaluation, and contract management, familiarity with regulatory requirements in the skincare industry. - Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, passion for the skincare industry and commitment to sustainability.
