Job Title: Sourcing Coordinator – New Materials Department: Procurement Location: Raipur Reports To: Head of Sourcing / Materials Manager Position Overview: As a Sourcing Coordinator for new materials, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and on-boarding innovative ingredients and packaging solutions that align with our brand's commitment to luxury, efficacy, and sustainability. Collaborating closely with R&D, product development, and quality assurance teams, you will ensure that all sourced materials meet our stringent standards and contribute to the creation of exceptional skincare products. Key Responsibilities: Material Identification & Evaluation: Research and identify emerging ingredients and packaging materials that align with market trends and consumer preferences. Evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, sustainability practices, and alignment with brand values. Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective sourcing without compromising on quality. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D and product development teams to understand material requirements and specifications. Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure all materials meet regulatory and safety standards. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all sourcing activities, including supplier contracts, material specifications, and compliance certifications. Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure all sourced materials comply with relevant standards. Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor products to identify potential opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Attend trade shows and industry events to network with suppliers and stay informed about market developments. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably within the cosmetics or skincare industry. Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of material sourcing, supplier evaluation, and contract management. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the skincare industry. Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for the skincare industry and commitment to sustainability. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with sustainable and Eco-friendly materials. Knowledge of global sourcing practices and international suppliers. Proficiency in sourcing software and tools.
