Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore for a Social Media Manager. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating and managing social media strategies, optimizing platforms for engagement, and planning content to enhance the organization's online presence. Daily tasks include overseeing all social media accounts, developing content calendars, creating and curating posts, implementing social media campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize strategies. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure brand consistency and engaging online audiences.

Social Media Strategy & Planning

- Develop and manage platform-specific strategies for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging channels.

- Align monthly content calendars with campaign priorities, academic cycles, events, and region-wise audience behaviour.

Content & Creative Management

 - Oversee development of high-quality posts, reels, shorts, stories, video assets, and long-form content as per TAU’s content framework.

 - Ensure brand consistency, visual identity, and messaging quality across all channels.

Community Management & ORM

 - Lead proactive and reactive engagement across platforms (comments, reviews, inbox messages, student/parent queries).

 - Ensure timely issue resolution and maintain strong brand sentiment.

Performance Analytics & Optimization

 - Monitor KPIs across engagement, reach, impressions, retention, content performance, lead quality, and conversion attribution.

 - Use data insights to refine posting frequency, content formats, targeting, timings, and platform mix.

 Video & Multimedia Execution

 - Coordinate planning, scripting, production, and publishing of video content including testimonials, student stories, campus events, faculty profiles, explainer videos, doctor/alumni interviews, etc.

 - Ensure videos meet defined quality, frequency, and engagement targets.

Campaign & Cross-Functional Collaboration

 - Work with SEO, Paid Ads, CRM, Admissions, and Academics teams for campaign planning, new program launches, webinars, lead-generation content, and event amplification.

 - Ensure smooth integration of social media into major marketing initiatives (open houses, counselor events, webinars, graduations, white coat ceremonies, alumni activities).

Governance, Documentation & Process Compliance

 - Maintain and track weekly MIS, content trackers, performance dashboards, and competitive benchmarking.

 - Ensure 100% compliance to publishing timelines, quality guidelines, approvals workflow, and BSC-defined frequencies.

 - Support HR-related requirements including performance documentation, team training hours, and people management KPIs.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

 - Manage and mentor the social media executives, designers, and video editors.

 - Facilitate structured training, skill development, and performance reviews.

 - Contribute to succession planning and talent development within the team.
