Job Purpose
Responsible for leading the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of wind power plants (180+ MW). The role ensures smooth site operations, OEM contract supervision, energy generation optimization, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective stakeholder coordination (SLDC, EB, community). The position requires strong leadership to manage teams, resolve site-specific issues, and safeguard asset performance and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Efficiency & Performance
- Achieve generation targets (PLF/MA/LPF).
- Minimize downtime and ensure turbine availability.
- Monitor SCADA & performance data for improvement.
- Handle OEM calls and lead site-level discussions.
- Maintenance Management
- Plan preventive, predictive & corrective maintenance.
- Supervise OEM contractors and ensure quality.
- Manage spares and critical component availability.
- Maintain BOP assets and site infrastructure.
- Compliance & HSE
- Ensure 100% adherence to HSE norms.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and mock drills.
- Implement corrective actions and report compliance.
- Stakeholder & Regulatory Coordination
- Handle month-end activities: Contract JMR, SLDC coordination, notices, and statutory reporting.
- Engage with State EB, DISCOMs, vendors, and statutory bodies.
- Manage ROW, theft, and local community issues.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise site O&M team and contractors.
- Plan rosters, allocate work, and build capability.
- Foster collaboration and ensure performance feedback.
Candidate Requirements
- Mandatory:
- IPP Experience only (Renew, Apraava, Srenetica, Torrent, JSW, Alfanar, TATA, Adani – if tenure more than 1 year not considered).
- Site Incharge experience for 180+ MW Wind site from customer end.
- Strong exposure to OEM contract management and site supervision.
- Hands-on with Contract JMR, SLDC coordination, month-end reporting.
- Preferred:
- Strong leadership & team management.
- Knowledge of budgeting & claim reimbursements.
- Ability to manage statutory changes, local ROW issues, and extreme weather challenges.
