Role purpose
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Technical Consultant to design, configure, and maintain SharePoint online environments. Liaising directly with customers to gather/refine requirements and management of solutions through the application lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
Design, Configuration & Maintenance
- Architect, configure, and manage SharePoint Online environments
- Implement content management structures, site collections, document libraries, and permissions to meet organizational needs.
- Develop, customise, and optimise modern SharePoint sites, pages, and templates for collaboration and usability.
- Design and implement Power Automate workflows to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
- Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and Power Apps to enable seamless collaboration.
Development & Customisation
- Build custom web parts, extensions, and applications using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and React for modern, responsive UI experiences.
- Leverage PowerShell scripting and Power Automate for automation, provisioning, deployment, and administration tasks.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise custom solutions to ensure scalability and reliability.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Define and enforce SharePoint governance policies including permissions, site provisioning, and content lifecycle management.
- Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements for content storage and collaboration.
- Conduct regular audits and apply best practices for data protection and platform performance.
Support & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with business stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into SharePoint solutions.
- Provide technical support, training, and documentation to end-users and administrators.
Qualifications
Essential experience & skills
- Demonstrated over 4 years experience developing SharePoint solutions
- Expertise in
PowerShell scripting
for SharePoint administration, deployment, and automation - Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good understanding of Non-Functional Requirements
- Strong proficiency in
Microsoft Power Automate
for business process automation and workflow design. - Solid understanding of
Microsoft 365 ecosystem integration
(Teams, OneDrive, Power Apps, Outlook, etc.). - Knowledge of permissions structures, and content lifecycle management.
- Looking for a development with admin experience.
Desirable experience & skills
- Experience with
Power Apps
for building custom business applications. - Familiarity with
Microsoft Graph API
for SharePoint data integration. - Exposure to
Azure Active Directory
and role-based access control (RBAC)
. - Understanding of
information architecture
, taxonomy design, and metadata management. - Demonstrated experience using Microsoft stack (.NET Framework, C#, SQL) and SPFx
Certifications (highly desirable)
MS MS900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals
MS PL900: Power Platform Fundamentals
