This Position reports to:

Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the successful implementation of the service sales strategy for the assigned area. Each day, you will work to achieve profitable growth through Life Cycle Management (LCM) and service products and solutions. You will also showcase your expertise by developing account and acquisition plans to support long-term business growth.

The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite

This role contributes to Process automation in Marine & Ports in the India region. Main stakeholders include shipyards, vessel operators, OEMs, marine classification societies, and internal service and product teams.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Creating, planning, and implementing service sales strategies by increasing Installed Base (IB) through effective utilization of the IB database.
  • Enhancing profitable service sales by developing customer relationships and delivering cost-effective solutions.
  • Participating in negotiations of major contracts to secure service sales volume and growth.
  • Setting, reviewing, and meeting service sales targets, while initiating improvement plans where necessary.
  • Gathering customer feedback, monitoring sales development, and reporting market conditions to management.
  • Coordinating resources across service sales activities to ensure efficient execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting cross-functional collaboration to align offerings with marine market requirements and compliance standards.

Qualifications for the role

  • 5-8 years of experience in Service and Sales within the Marine Industry, handling marine equipment, systems, or instrumentation.
  • B.E. in Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
  • Extensive servicing of marine products and solutions, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and after-sales support.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase sales of marine products, including lead generation, customer acquisition, and contract negotiations.
  • Extensive knowledge of marine standards, compliance requirements, and customer-specific needs within the sector.
  • Practical experience collaborating with shipyards, vessel operators, OEMs, and marine classification societies.
  • Skilled in communication and relationship management, with the ability to build trust with marine customers and work effectively with Sales and Service teams.
