The Wintel & Cloud Infrastructure Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale Windows and Cloud (Azure/AWS) environments. The role involves leading a team of administrators, ensuring the availability, scalability, and security of hybrid infrastructure across Data Centers (DC/DR), cloud, and branch locations. The Lead acts as a key technical authority for server and cloud operations, driving automation, optimization, and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Governance
Lead the Wintel and Cloud infrastructure team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and SLA adherence.
Define and enforce operational standards, best practices, and security baselines for on-prem and cloud systems.
Plan and execute capacity management, lifecycle upgrades, and platform migrations.
Drive incident, problem, and change management processes under ITIL framework.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams — Network, SOC, Application, and Service Desk — for integrated operations.
Prepare and present infrastructure performance reports, compliance summaries, and improvement plans to management.
Wintel Infrastructure Management
Oversee the administration of Windows Servers (2016/2019/2022) across DC/DR and branch offices.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, WSUS, and associated core services.
Ensure patching, backup, DR readiness, and performance tuning across the environment.
Review and approve system changes and configuration baselines.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
Lead Azure / AWS / OCI infrastructure operations, including VM provisioning, storage, networking, and identity management.
Manage hybrid integrations (Azure AD Connect, VPN gateways, cloud backup/replication).
Implement cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization practices.
Oversee deployment automation, policies, and governance using tools such as Azure Automation / Terraform / PowerShell.
Support disaster recovery strategies and periodic DR drills involving both on-prem and cloud environments.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
Plan and execute infrastructure transformation initiatives, including migration to cloud or hybrid models.
Evaluate and adopt new technologies for automation, monitoring, and performance improvement.
Drive documentation, knowledge management, and operational efficiency within the team.
Provide technical mentorship and training to L2/L3 administrators.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong expertise in Windows Server Administration and Active Directory Infrastructure Design.
In-depth experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, governance, and security) and/ AWS /OCI environments.
Hands-on experience in VMware / Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
Solid understanding of PowerShell scripting, automation frameworks, and infrastructure as code concepts.
Proven ability to manage hybrid environments integrating on-prem and cloud systems.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Op Manager, SolarWinds, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, etc.).
Strong experience in ITIL processes, service delivery, and operations governance.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator (AZ-800 / AZ-801)
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
ITIL Foundation / Intermediate Certification
