 – Senior System Administrator
The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing Insurity’s public and private cloud environments, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. The role involves system and network tuning, automation, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong expertise in Windows Server, VMware, networking, and scripting, who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
What Our Senior System Administrator Will Do
- Setup and performance tune server and network tier within the Insurity public and private cloud environment.
- Recommend and contribute changes in host and guest system configuration to obtain optimum system performance and high availability of Insurity developed applications.
- Work with senior management to diagnose system & performance problems leveraging application traces and available diagnostic tools.
- Assist senior engineers to monitor, measure, performance tune, and capacity plan for the Insurity private cloud environment.
- Identify and recommend solutions to eliminate single points of failure.
- Manage individual projects as well as participate in private cloud wide initiatives.
- Assist in managing individual projects including private cloud initiatives.
- Support Lead Engineers with customer support and on-boarding initiatives.
- Assimilate new technologies and applications into existing processes such that it can be supported across the team
- Support initiatives to migrate customers to Insurity’s Public or Private cloud environments
- Work with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Participate in rotating team on-call support for hosted and non-hosted customers.
- Provide mentorship to team members
- Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled 
Senior System Administrator
 who is passionate about building and managing reliable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and brings a proactive mindset to every task.
Experience: 4–8 years of hands-on experience in system administration, infrastructure management, or cloud operations (public/private cloud environments) and Application Configuration.Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.Strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills.Self-starter with a collaborative approach and a willingness to mentor others.Adaptable to changing priorities and evolving technologies.Technical Skills: Strong experience in IIS (Internet Information Services) configuration, application deployment, and a deep understanding of end-to-end application flow across environments. Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration (2008 and above).Experience on any Cloud Platform like AWS/Azure.Working knowledge of application lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps). Exposure of any Monitoring Tool (e.g. Dynatrace, Nagios, AppDynamics).Understanding of HTTP/S protocols, load balancing, DNS, and network security. Skilled in PowerShell scripting and process automation.Familiarity with SQL Server or backend database connectivity. Solid understanding of system performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with cloud migration processes and infrastructure-as-code concepts.Experience supporting enterprise or insurance software environments.Exposure to AI-driven operations or automation tools (a plus). Certifications (Preferred): - AWS or Azure Administrator Associate Certification
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) 
- Travel: Minimal, limited to training, team collaboration, or data center requirements.
