Job Summary

As the Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing an organizations IT infrastructure. This role goes beyond basic troubleshooting (L3 support) and involves handling more complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability, and contributing to IT projects.

What You’ll Do:

  • Systems Maintenance and Support:

    Manage and monitor production servers, operating systems (Windows), and network devices. Perform routine system health checks, patch management, and updates. Troubleshoot escalated issues from L1 and L2 support, including hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Windows Systems Administration:

    Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems. Manage application software and system management tools through Dash. Perform patch management with ownership of Patch management cycles and ensure timely updates.
  • Identity and Access Management:

    Administer Entra ID and Office 365. Implement advanced identity policies (conditional access, RBAC). Ensure governance and compliance.
  • Network & Security:

    Configure and manage enterprise firewalls with advanced policies. Deploy/administer enterprise antivirus and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR). Investigate SIEM alerts and coordinate incident response
  • DNS & Infrastructure:

    Configure and maintain DNS records for internal and external services with responsibility for enterprise-level DNS hosting and integration with applications.
  • Hardware Support:

    Provide advanced troubleshooting and serve as escalation point for complex hardware issues impacting enterprise operations.
  • Ticketing and Collaboration:

    Manage enterprise ticketing systems and collaborate across IT/business teams to strengthen overall security posture.
  • Governance and Compliance:

    Conduct internal IT audits to verify adherence to organizational security policies and procedures. Prepare systems and documentation for external compliance audits.

Experience You’ll Need:

  • Educational Background:

    Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or other relevant IT Administration programs / courses.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS administration and patch management.
  • Experience with firewalls and security policy configuration.
  • Hands-on expertise in Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
  • Proficiency in DNS hosting and record management.
  • Experience managing Office 365 users/groups.
  • Knowledge of enterprise antivirus solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair desktop/laptop hardware.
  • 4–8 years of system administration experience in enterprise environments.
