PURPOSE OF JOB

The ASP.Net & Sitecore Engineer is responsible to develop and support corporate websites and business applications on ASP.Net and Sitecore platforms in association with Group Leader and team members in order to provide the Bank with efficient and cost-effective way to handle CMS/Custom Vendor application. Develop Sitecore solutions based on business requirements document and analysis, document solutions as per SDLC documents. The Jobholder also provides support for applications software and systems including applications administration in non-production environment as applicable.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• A University degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on in agile development methodology
• Experience of minimum 4 - 7 years in Sitecore systems implementation and support
• Strong hands-on development experience with a Sitecore CMS (Sitecore 9/10 preferred)
• Sitecore XP 9+/10+ Developer Certification is a plus
• Sitecore 9 to 10 migration experience is added advantage
• Sitecore SXA, Cortex, JSS, Headless and forms modules hands-on experience preferred
• Experience with Glass Mapper, Castle Windsor preferred
• Experience with use of Sitecore xDB to create personalized user experience - personalization
• Ability to create and install Sitecore packages, including publishing, workflow, custom fields, and media library items. Utilize Web API to serve Sitecore data to other clients
• Manage implementation of new site build within existing technology infrastructure
• Implement Sitecore best practices as and when required
• Strong experience with either Unicorn or TDS is a plus
• Knowledge of Azure deployment as a big bonus
• Must have good knowledge and experience with SOLR Search and MongoDB
• Should have good working knowledge of CSS/HTML and JavaScript libraries.
• Should have experience in Sitecore JSS with React, Node JS
• 3 - 5 years solid experience with C#, ASP.NET, MVC, .Net Core, Razor syntax, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3/SAAS, JQuery and Transact-SQL

• Good team player with the ability to work very effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented manner with other team members. Must have initiative and a positive work attitude and must be a quick learner with a zeal for self-learning. Must be confident, eager and willing to take on new challenges. Must be cooperative with good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Fluent in oral and written English, working knowledge of Arabic is a plus

AUTHORITIES

The Sitecore Developer has authority to act in association and in full coordination with the Solution Delivery Group Leader and the Solution Delivery Head when necessary.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The degree or level of the job accountabilities is dependent upon the grade of the Jobholder in the Jobholder position. The job accountabilities for the Jobholder include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop Sitecore solutions based on business requirements analysis
• Design & maintain Sitecore key components
• Knowledge and ability to apply OOD and impact to the application development process
• Experience with a JavaScript web framework like Angular preferred
• Experience with responsive page layout – bootstrap or foundation preferred
• Knowledgeable of cross browser support issues, debugging and testing techniques
• Issues detection, tracking, resolution and management
• Document solutions as per SDLC documents, flowcharts, manuals
• Build proof of concept examples
• Interface with other systems as per requirement
• Document, log, track and report issues on a daily basis.
• Document test cases & coordinate QA testing
• Document change implementation details for release with all the source code, configurations, export of formulae and workflow.
• Handover knowledge other teams on the project so that they can do the support on a daily basis.
