This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer II in India.

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance services that support a rapidly growing platform. You will tackle complex technical challenges, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape the engineering culture through mentoring and best practices. Your work will directly impact thousands of users by improving platform reliability, usability, and scalability. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic problem-solving and requires a proactive approach to delivering high-quality software solutions. You will also have opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to system architecture, and influence the direction of engineering initiatives.
  • Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and core platform functionality to support large-scale SaaS applications.
  • Solve complex, ambiguous problems, balancing technical constraints with user needs and product objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver robust, user-friendly solutions.
  • Participate in design and code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Debug production issues, monitor system performance, and optimize for high availability and reliability.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and influence the architecture and direction of engineering projects.
  • Work with technologies including Python, Rust, Typescript, Postgres, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and observability tools.
  • Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS platforms or large-scale applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience through bootcamps or self-study.
  • Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Rust, Go, Node.js , or Java.
  • Experience with API design (REST/gRPC), system architecture, and database management.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform).
  • Experience designing and maintaining secure, distributed, scalable systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to mentor and influence technical direction.
  • Ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams and fast-paced environments.
  • Nice to have: experience with data engineering pipelines, performance optimization, and observability tools like Datadog.
